Yes Bay Lodge has been owned by the Hack Family since 1977 when Art and Marlys Hack purchased the property and building and transformed it into one of the first Premier Fishing Lodge's in SE Alaska. The Lodge was operated by Art and Marlys for many years then, their sons Bill and Kevin took over the operation. Bill ran the Lodge from 1996 to 2005 while his brother Kevin focused his efforts in town running the air operation Promech. In 2005 Kevin and his family took over the Lodge operation and continue to this day. Most recently the day to day operation of the Lodge is handled by Kevin's Daughter Nicky and her Husband Ryan. With Nicky continuing to handle the Chef's duties at the Lodge and Ryan as the General Manager. Kevin still oversees the operation. The Hack family tradition continues.

Eagle Nook has been offering guided fishing for as long as its existence. Our experienced Lucky Sportfishing guides are passionate about sportfishing, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Whether you are experienced, or a beginner, our guides will ensure you have an enjoyable experience.
As part of the package, all the necessary equipment is provided, including rain gear and boots should those be needed. In addition, your catch will be professionally cared for, vacuum packed, and frozen in preparation for you to take home, or if you’d rather, we can have our Chef prepare it fresh for your dinner.
